Students of the Geography Education Study Program at Gorontalo State University (UNG) class of 2022 successfully carried out Field Work Lectures (KKL) in Malino and Malino Highlands Tea Plantations, South Sulawesi. The activity, which took place on January 16-19, 2025, aimed to deepen students' understanding of physical geography and geomorphological landscapes in the Malino area. In this activity, students are accompanied by supervisors who are experts in the field of physical geography. The MPA series includes exploration of pine forest landscapes, analysis of soil structure and vegetation, as well as direct observation of the economic and social potential of surrounding communities that depend on the tea plantation and ecotourism sectors.
KKL activities were held on 24 - 26 January 2023. Students observed and carried out Tourism Geography Studies at the Leang-Leang Archaeological Park, Bantimurung Nature Tourism Park and Fort Rotterdam Makassar. In addition to participating in KKL activities, activity participants also get the opportunity to explore the geographical potential of South Sulawesi, thus providing a practical dimension to the theoretical learning they have received on campus.
The Field Trip Study was carried out on 25 - 31 February 2022. The location of this activity is in Bompon Sub-River Basin, Wonosari Village, Kajoran District, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province. This activity is in collaboration with the Transbulent Laboratory, Gadjah Mada University.
