Geography Education Study Program Profile

Department of Geography Education was established on August 2, 2007, and the decree number is 2888/D/T/2007.

Since its establishment, the Department of Geography Education has been under the auspices of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo,

Based on the Rector Decree Number 1016/UN47/OT/2014 concerning the Establishment of the Department of Earth Science and Technology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. On October 1, 2014, the Geography Education Study Program became under the auspices of the Department of Earth Science and Technology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo.

The shift in status brings new consequences and enthusiasm for the academic community of the Department Geography Education Study Program in developing and advancing study programs to improve its competitiveness and quality.

The Geography Education study program has been accredited B by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT) with the Decree No. 044/BAN-PT/Ak-XIII/S1/II/2011.

Then in 2016, the Geography Education Study Program was reaccredited by obtaining an A by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT) Number: 1497/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VIII/2016. The degree given to graduates in this study program is a Bachelor's degree in Education (S.Pd). The stages of formulating the vision and mission of the Study Program are based on input from the university leadership, faculty leaders, lecturers of the Geography Education Study Program, alumni, and graduates.
