Geography Education Program Student Wins 1st Place in Musabaqoh Tartil Qur'an at the Faculty of MIPA UNG

Gorontalo, July 4, 2025 – Sri Amelia Akase, a student of the Geography Education Program, class of 2024, recently achieved remarkable success by winning first place in the Musabaqoh Tartil Qur'an competition at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) of Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (UNG).

The competition, held from Wednesday to Thursday, July 3-4, 2025, saw participation from several students across various programs in the Faculty of MIPA UNG. Sri Amelia stood out with her impressive tartil skills, demonstrating dedication and a deep understanding of Qur'anic recitation according to proper tajwid and rules.

The Musabaqoh Tartil Qur'an event serves as an appreciation and encouragement for students to cultivate a love for the Qur'an and deepen their understanding of recitation with tartil. It is hoped that events like this will continue to be held, providing a platform for students to showcase their best abilities in religious fields.

The Head of the Geography Education Program at UNG, Masruroh, M. Pd., expressed pride in Sri Amelia Akase's achievement. "We are very proud of the accomplishment achieved by Sri Amelia Akase. This proves that Geography Education students excel not only in academics but also in religious fields and personal development," said Masruroh, M. Pd.
