Debriefing and Release of KKL for Students Class of 2023 Geography Education FMIPA UNG

Gorontalo — Saturday, January 17, 2026, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Gorontalo State University officially carried out the Debriefing and Release of Field Work Lectures (KKL) for Students of the Class of 2023 of the Geography Education Study Program. This activity marks the start of a series of field academic activities designed to strengthen students' competence in understanding and analyzing geographical phenomena directly in the field. The debriefing and release ceremony took place solemnly and full of academic enthusiasm, and was officially released by Prof. Dr. Fitryane Lihawa,. M.Si as the Dean of FMIPA Gorontalo State University. The presence of the faculty leaders affirmed institutional support for the implementation of KKL as an important part of the experiential learning process for Geography Education students. In his remarks, the Dean of FMIPA emphasized that KKL is not just a curricular obligation, but a strategic means to shape scientific thinking, academic ethics, and students' sensitivity to environmental and societal dynamics. 

This activity was also attended by the Head of the Department, the Secretary of the Department, the Secretary of the ITK Department, and the Coordinator of the Geography Education Study Program. The presence of elements of department and study program leaders reflects synergy and joint commitment in ensuring student readiness, both from academic, technical, and ethical aspects during the implementation of the KKL. In the briefing session, students received directions related to the purpose of the MPA, field data collection methods, work safety, and professional attitudes that must be maintained while at the activity location.

Through this Debriefing and Release of KKL activities, the Geography Education Study Program of FMIPA UNG hopes that students of the Class of 2023 can carry out KKL with full responsibility, uphold the good name of the institution, and produce experiences and field findings of academic value. The KKL is expected to be a meaningful learning space, forming prospective geography educators who are not only strong conceptually, but also mature in character and professionalism.
