Gorontalo, October 10, The Geography Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Gorontalo State University (UNG) took part in the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Based Journal Article Writing Workshop organized by FMIPA UNG. This activity is one of the strategic efforts to improve the competence of lecturers and students in the use of artificial intelligence technology for scientific publications.

The workshop, which was held at the Computer Laboratory of FMIPA UNG, presented speakers from the development team of the MIPA UNG Workshop who are experienced in integrating AI in the academic and research processes. Through this training, participants are introduced to various AI-based applications such as ChatGPT, Scite and other academic writing support tools that can be used to speed up and strengthen the quality of scientific articles. Workshop on Writing Journal Articles, Literature Review, and Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) which was held for 2 full days (October 8 and 9, 2025).

In the practical session, participants actively simulated the preparation of scientific article drafts with the help of AI, starting from the literature collection stage, drafting writing, to final editing. This approach is expected to speed up the writing process without compromising the originality and scientific integrity of the resulting work.
