Gorontalo, January 31, 2025 – The Student Association of the Geography Education Study Program (HMPS) of Gorontalo State University (UNG) held a regeneration activity for new students with the theme "Terrain, Maps, and Compass: Forming Cadres with Leadership and Intellectual Spirit."
This activity took place from January 30 to February 2, 2025 in the natural area of Meranti village which is the location of navigation and leadership training. This activity aims to introduce new students to basic skills as well as instill a spirit of leadership and togetherness as cadres who are ready to be active in student organizations.
Vice Dean 3 for Student Affairs, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, in his speech said that this activity is part of student regeneration to foster the spirit of leadership and discipline in the organization. "We want to form students who are not only excellent in academics, but also have skills in reading terrain situations and are able to become leaders in the organizational environment," he said.
With the implementation of this activity, HMPS Geography Education hopes to produce new cadres who are ready to contribute to the organization and the academic world, as well as have qualified field skills as prospective geography educators and researchers.
