Gorontalo — The Geography Education Study Program held an EDU-TALK GEO Webinar with the theme "Academic Journal Searching and Online Article Submission Training" on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. This activity was held as part of an effort to increase the academic capacity of students in the field of scientific reference search and the process of publishing articles in academic journals online.
This webinar was attended by students and lecturers enthusiastically, considering the ability to search scientific journals and understand the mechanism of online submission is an important skill in today's academic world. In the training, participants were given an understanding of strategies for finding credible reference sources through various national and international journal platforms, including keyword techniques, article filtering, and identification of reputable journals.

In addition, participants were also guided to understand the stages of submitting scientific articles through the online journal system (OJS), starting from account registration, uploading manuscripts, filling in article metadata, to the communication process with journal editors and reviewers. This material is considered very important, especially for students who are preparing for the publication of research results and final projects.
Through this EDU-TALK GEO Webinar, the Geography Education Study Program hopes that students will be more prepared to face academic demands in the digital era and be able to increase the productivity of scientific publications. This activity is also part of the study program's commitment to building a strong, adaptive, and oriented academic culture towards developing the quality of student research and scientific work.
