EDU-TALK GEO Webinar Encourages Academic Culture through the Theme of Building Scientific Writing Traditions

Gorontalo — The Geography Education Study Program held a EDU-TALK GEO Webinar with the theme "Building a Tradition of Scientific Writing" on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. This activity was held as part of an effort to strengthen academic culture and improve students' ability to produce quality scientific papers.

This webinar was attended by students and lecturers enthusiastically, considering that the ability to write scientific is one of the important competencies in the world of higher education. In this activity, participants gained an understanding of the importance of building writing habits as part of the academic process, intellectual development, and contribution to the development of science.

 

The activity took place interactively with discussions about various challenges that students often face in writing scientific papers, such as lack of motivation, difficulty finding ideas, and managing references. Through this forum, participants are encouraged to be more confident in starting and developing their scientific writings.

Through this EDU-TALK GEO Webinar, the Geography Education Study Program hopes to foster the spirit and tradition of scientific writing among students. This activity is also part of the study program's commitment to supporting the improvement of academic quality, productivity of scientific works, and the development of an active, critical, and innovative academic culture in the Geography Education environment.
