Bone Bolango, April 29, 2025, The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Gorontalo State University held a socialization activity involving two important institutions, namely Lingua Academy (L.A) Gorontalo and the UNG Professional Certification Institute (LSP). This activity aims to equip students with strategic information related to the development of English language competencies and professional certification.
Lingua Academy Gorontalo introduced the Grand TOEFL Simulator 2025 program as a means of training and testing students' English skills, especially to face the TOEFL exam. This activity is expected to increase the readiness and confidence of students in taking the official TOEFL exam.
Meanwhile, LSP UNG conveyed socialization regarding competency certification services that can be accessed by FMIPA students according to their respective scientific fields. This certification is a strategic step in preparing graduates who are competent and ready to compete in the world of work.
Vice Dean I FMIPA UNG, Dr. Tedy Mahmud, M.Pd said that this activity is very relevant in supporting the strengthening of students' soft skills and professionalism. "We encourage students to actively participate in training and certification to increase the competitiveness of FMIPA graduates," he said. This activity was enthusiastically welcomed by the students and is expected to be the beginning of continuous collaboration in increasing the capacity of FMIPA graduates.
