Geography Education UNG Welcomes New Students Class of 2025 in PKKMB at the Faculty and Department Level

Gorontalo, August 15, 2025 – The Geography Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Gorontalo State University (UNG), participated in the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at the Faculty and Department Levels to welcome new students of the 2025 batch. This PKKMB activity was carried out in the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences lecture rooms which were divided according to the departments in FMIPA, involving all elements of faculty leaders, lecturers, education staff, and senior students who served as companions. New students of the Geography Education Study Program Class of 2025 are introduced to various aspects of academic life, student organizations, and the cultural values of the UNG campus.

The series of PKKMB activities includes the introduction of the vision and mission of the faculty and study programs, socialization of the curriculum, lecture system, and opportunities for academic and non-academic activities that support student self-development. In addition, students are also equipped with materials related to academic ethics, the spirit of nationality, digital literacy, and readiness to face the challenges of the global era. New students are also introduced to various student organizations, including the Geography Student Association (HIMAGI) which is a forum to develop creativity, leadership, and social spirit in the campus environment.

Through this activity, the UNG Geography Education Study Program is committed to producing graduates who not only excel in the academic field, but also have 21st century skills, social awareness, and the ability to adapt to the times.
