On February 28, 2024, Geography Education, Gorontalo State University (UNG) held a guest lecture with the theme "Utilization of Geospatial Information Data for Sustainable Planning and Development" by inviting speakers from the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) in the 3rd Floor Hall of FMIPA. The purpose of this activity is to provide information on the importance of geospatial data in sustainable planning and development. This activity was attended by 110 participants consisting of students and lecturers of Geography Education, Geological Engineering and Environmental Sciences. Head of the Department of Earth Sciences and Technology (ITK) Dr. Aang Panji Permana, ST., MT in his speech said that this guest lecture provided insight and deeper understanding of the environmental, social, and economic conditions of a region and how important geospatial information data is to support sustainable planning and development.
